| These Bernie Sanders-Inspired High Heels at Paris Fashion Week Won't Come Cheap |
Storied French high form mark Balenciaga is dunking into the domain of politically-propelled design yet again, this time flaunting high heels wrapped in shirt texture that echoes Vermont congressperson Bernie Sanders' unsuccessful essential crusade marking.
As models paraded down the Parisian runway this end of the week for the brand's prepared to-wear mold appear, they were furnished in pointy-toed stilettos with hitched texture covers. Some of them, in a saucy gesture to the government official, were enhanced with "Balenciaga"- marked pieces of material bearing similar design that Sanders' battle utilized.
This is not the first run through creator Demna Gvasalia has felt the Bern; at his men's show in January he took considerably heavier motivation from the Sanders logo, with shirts and outerwear styled in the red, white, and blue typography that Sanders touted all through his endeavor at the White House. The incongruity, obviously, is that while Balenciaga heels like the ones seen on the runway retail for upwards of $600, fair communism inclining Sanders himself is famously low-form.
"I think, of my many traits, being a mold expert is not one of them," he disclosed to CNN's Jake Tapper a month ago.
